(MARION)- Police have issued warrants for two men in connection with the death of an 81-year-old Marion man.
Officers were called to a home at 2431 S. Adams St. July 27, where they found Duwayne M. Lindsey dead in his home.
Numerous firearms, collectable coins and a large amount of money had been taken from the home, police said.
Police issued warrants for Lacy D. Bradley, 21, of Celina, Ohio, and James F. Griffith, 31, of Marion, after some of the stolen firearms were found in their possession.
The firearms were discovered when Bradley and Griffith were arrested by Kentucky State Police on unrelated charges.
Police said they also found collectable coins and a large amount of money in the men's vehicle.
Investigators said Lindsey was struck in the head several times, possibly with a hammer, and stabbed with a knife.
An autopsy confirmed that Lindsey died of blunt-force trauma.
Investigators think Lindsey died July 21, though his body was not discovered until July 27.
Police said Bradley and Griffith are both charged with murder, robbery resulting in injury, conspiracy to commit robbery with a deadly weapon, and receiving stolen property.
Griffith faces an additional charge of aggravated battery, police said.
Both Bradley and Griffith are being held in the Franklin County, Ky., jail on charges unrelated to the incident in Marion.
