(BLOOMINGTON) - An adorably strange cat from Bloomington who’s become a viral video sensation pounced on the national spotlight Wednesday with a feature on “Good Morning America.”
The show's search for the world's cutest cat highlighted Internet star Lil Bub, who has appeared in countless YouTube videos and even has her own Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Her owner, Mike Bridavsky, of Bloomington, said Lil Bub is a perma-kitten, meaning she'll stay kitten-sized and maintain her kitten-like features her entire life.
The tabby has short, stubby legs, six toes and never grew teeth, causing her tongue to hang out, making for a strange but adorable look.
"She's different. I think people like seeing something cute that's not like everything else," Bridavsky said.
"Good Morning America" reporter Paula Faris took Lil Bub on a tour of the Big Apple, while anchor Lara Spencer cuddled the friendly feline outside the ABC studios.
Besides her adorable attributes, Lil Bub is also laid back and good-natured.
"This cat, we took her through Times Square, to Central Park and on the subway and she did amazing," Faris said. "I don't know of any other animal on the planet that would take this type of stimulation and be OK with it."
Lil Bub's fans can friend her on Facebook, along with watching videos and looking through pictures of the unusual kitty.
