(EDINBURGH) - The Edinburgh Police Department is investigating the stabbing of a 19-year-old Atterbury Job Corps student.
According to our partners at the Daily Journal , Reshaun Spiller, originally of Detroit, was stabbed in the stomach Saturday night. He was later taken to Johnson Memorial Hospital where he underwent emergency surgery. A spokesperson for the hospital said he was in stable condition as on Sunday afternoon.
Police are still trying to figure out exactly what happened. So far, officers have gathered that Spiller was visiting with friends Saturday night. Police received a call around 10 p.m. from Spiller's friends asking how to get to the hospital.
No one has been arrested yet and police do not know where Spiller was when he was stabbed.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Edinburgh interim police chief, David Lutz, at 812-526-2636.
