(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Muncie man has been arrested after his 2-month-old son suffered a skull fracture, police said.
Phillip M. Adkins, 22, was arrested Thursday night on preliminary charges of battery and neglect of a dependent.
The infant was taken to Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health on Wednesday night with a brain bleed and skull fracture, police said.
Doctors also found that the infant had previously suffered a broken arm and leg.
Adkins told police he has "anger issues," and admitted that his rough handling likely caused some of the infant's injuries.
He was being held at the Delaware County Jail on Friday.
