(SOUTH BEND) - A Mishawaka man released early from a prison on two murder convictions has been charged with murder in the death of his estranged wife.
The St. Joseph County prosecutor's office says 49-year-old Tarrence Lee was charged Monday with murder in the death of Trina Winston. She filed for divorce on June 19. Her body hasn't been found.
A probable cause affidavit says Lee asked three people to help him dispose of a body. One of them told police he saw Winston's body, and the other two said they helped dump the body.
Lee was being held without bail. He's scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday. Court records don't show if he has an attorney.
Lee was released 20 years early from a 110-year prison term in 2006.
