(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indy Hoosiers felt the brunt of Hurricane Isaac Wednesday at the gas pump.
On Indianapolis' south side, prices jumped to $4.05 a gallon for regular unleaded, a 20 cent increase in less than 24 hours.
Gas prices in Lawrence County were at $3.99.
Economists said more than 90 percent of oil refineries along the gulf coast have been shut down in Isaac's wake.
According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded is $3.76. Indiana's average is $3.80 a gallon.
