(GREENWOOD) - A five month long investigation concluded on Wednesday in Greenwood with the arrest of a restaurant owner.
Officers with the Indiana State Excise Police and the Greenwood Police Department concluded their investigation into allegations of illegal alcohol sales and marijuana dealing that was conducted out of Massey's Pizza, located at 172 Melody Ave. in Greenwood.
In April, police received information and complaints about illegal activity happening at Massey's Pizza.
Massey's Pizza owner 51-year-old Ricky Carter was reportedly dealing marijuana and selling alcohol without a license out of the business.
During the five month investigation, detectives and police made undercover purchases of alcohol and marijuana from Carter at the business.
On Wednesday, Detectives secured a search warrant for the business and an arrest warrant for Carter. He was arrested at the restaurant on charges of maintaining a common nuisance, dealing marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and multiple State alcohol offenses. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail and is being held on a $21,000 bond.
More marijuana and alcohol was found after a search of the business.
