(MONROVIA) - A Monrovia High School teacher charged with raping a student has entered a guilty plea for a lesser charge.
Daniel Goens was supposed to stand trial Monday but has plead guilty to criminal deviate conduct instead.
Goens was originally charged with rape , two counts of criminal deviate conduct, and two counts of child seduction. He is accused of exchanging text messages with a then 16-year-old girl and luring him to his home
