(MUNCIE) - A Muncie mother is suing her son’s school district after she said the 5-year-old was pushed down in gym class.
The lawsuit against Muncie Community Schools, filed by the Carmel law firm of Stewart & Stewart, alleges the child was shoved to the ground by a classmate at South View Elementary School in March, the Star Press reported.
According to the lawsuit, the 5-year-old suffered "physical pain, mental anguish and the loss of enjoyment of life" as a result of the incident.
The suit also claims the students were unsupervised at the time.
It does not specify what injuries the boy suffered.
The family is asking for a jury to determine damages in the case.
