(MADISON COUNTY) - The body of a man who had been on the run since the June killing of a 31-year-old woman in Madison County may have been found Sunday, police said.
Madison County Sheriff Ron Richardson said that two people who were setting up deer hunting cameras spotted what appeared to be a body in a tree-lined area in the 6400 block of West County Road 100 South about 4 p.m.
The hunters called police, who recovered a body believed to be that of Roy Parmley, 53.
The body was given to the coroner's office, who will make official identification, pending autopsy results.
Richardson said officials are "pretty sure" it is Parmley. Investigators will meet on Monday, and more information will be released then.
Police had been looking for Parmley since Amanda Wiles was killed in early June. Investigators said Parmley tied up his ex-girlfriend, Terri Wiles, 53, and her daughter in their home near County Road 650 West.
Amanda Wiles was fatally shot before Parmley threatened to kill himself and ran from the scene, police said.
Police had searched woods and fields, along with a pond near Parmley's home.
