(GREENWOOD) - Greenwood Police have made an arrest in the case of a brutal sexual assault after receiving a tip Tuesday.
Shawn Corbally, 33, has been charged with three counts of rape, three counts of criminal deviate conduct, burglary, confinement, intimidation and residential entry.
Corbally matched the description of the suspect police said broke into the Ashmore Trace apartment complex and repeatedly raped a woman Sunday.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 30's with tattoos of bricks down one arm and possibly a tiger tail on his lower leg. Police said Corbally matches that description.
Police said they believe Corbally tried to break into a nearby residence earlier in the evening but was unsuccessful.
The alleged victims from both of those incidents positively identified Corbally.
Divers also searched a pond near Corbally's home Tuesday night for a knife believed to have been used in the alleged rape.
Corbally was detained last week after a woman said he sexually assaulted her in a laundry room of an apartment complex. It's not clear if he has been formally charged in that alleged incident. Corbally had recently served half of his 25 year sentence for a rape conviction. He was out on probation at the time of his arrest.
