(JEFFERSON COUNTY) - A scooter driver was critically injured when he was thrown into the road and run over Friday night, police said.
The crash happened just after 9 p.m. along State Road 62 near Chicken Run Road in Jefferson County.
David C. Hamblin, 23, of Kentucky, was driving northbound when he was struck from behind by a car driven by Amanda N. Parker, 23, of Madison, police said.
Hamblin was thrown from his scooter and was lying in the road when his legs were run over by a car driven by Ralph D. Bilton Jr., 71, of Madison, police said.
Hamblin was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville with life-threatening head injuries and serious leg injuries. His condition was not released Saturday.
