(JACKSON COUNTY) - A Monday night police pursuit ended with an arrest of an Illinois woman, Jackson County Police report.
Police attempted to stop a yellow 1989 Honda Prelude for driving at extremely high speeds and weaving in and out of traffic.
The vehicle refused to stop and and continued to drive at over 100 mph.
When the officer and vehicle reached the Scott and Jackson County Line, the officer deployed sticks to deflate the tires of the other vehicle. The vehicle was then forced to stop.
Police arrested 62-year-old Gloria L. Risken of Savoy, Ill.
Risken was taken to the Jackson County Jail where she is now facing charges of resisting law enforcement.
