(FORT WAYNE) - The Fort Wayne-South Bend Catholic Diocese says longtime Bishop Luers High School football coach Matt Lindsay was fired after inappropriate video clips of students and others were found on his computer.
The diocese said in a statement Wednesday that none of the videos contained nudity but they were apparently surreptitiously recorded in violation of the diocese's ethical standards and policies.
The Journal Gazette reports the diocese said it has turned over evidence found last week to the Allen County Sheriff's Department.
The diocese's statement said it does not know whether Lindsay's alleged actions constitute a criminal offense, and that will be a matter for law enforcement to determine.
Lindsay won nine state titles during his 26 years as the Fort Wayne school's head football coach.
