(MARION) - Police are investigating a fatal shooting that left one man dead early Saturday morning.
Marion police said officers were dispatched to a home in the 100 block of East 15th Street just after midnight, where they found an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was identified as Crist Greer, 56, a resident of the home where he was found shot, according to the Grant County Coroner's Office.
Greer was transported to Marion General Hospital where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
An autopsy is pending at the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center in Fort Wayne.
