(INDIANAPOLIS) - Just after 6 p.m. Saturday, IFD was called to a retention pond near Stop 11 and Crossing drive on the city’s south side.
7:37 p.m., Saturday, Firefighters found a green Honda in the retention pond of an apartment complex.
The 18 year-old who had been driving it and her two 15 year-old passengers were able to escape the car through the windows, which had been down.
The driver told fire officials she and a 17 year-old friend were racing their cars down the street, attempting to cut each other off. Both vehicles both turned right into the apartment complex at the same time.
