Body Found In Backyard of Home In Indianapolis

(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indianapolis Metro Police Department is investigating the apparent shooting death of a man on the east side.

Police were called to North Dequincy Street, near 34th Street and Emerson Avenue, shortly before 6 p.m. on Saturday on the report of a person dead.

A homeowner said she was taking her dog out, and found the body in a backyard.

The man's identity is still unknown. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning.
