(COLUMBUS) - A health care facility in Columbus is one of six in Indiana that received back pain medication tied to a national fungal meningitis outbreak.
Wellspring Pain Solutions received medication linked to the outbreak. Patients who received an injection at this facility from July 1 through Sept. 28 are urged to call Wellspring at 812-376-0700.
Friday afternoon, there were no cases of meningitis reported at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Patients experiencing any of the following symptoms should visit the nearest emergency room: Severe headache, Nausea, Fever, Severe neck stiffness, Sensitivity to light.
Patients who received an injection in the spine should look for the following signs at the injection site: Swelling, Pain, Redness, Warmth.
