(INDIANAPOLIS) - Metro Aggravated Assault Detectives investigate why a man was shot while ordering a hot dog from an east side vendor.
Officers found a man on the ground suffering an apparent gunshot wound at the corner of East 34th Street and North Arlington Avenue.
According to a public police report, a witness told police he was handing the victim a hot dog from his cart when he heard gunfire and saw the victim fall to the ground.
It's not known who fired the shots.
Detectives processed the scene, taking photos and collecting evidence.
