(CLINTON COUNTY) - Clinton County deputies are warning area businesses to be on the look out for money with pink dye stains.
Deputies said a pink dye pack exploded on the money stolen from the Regions Bank on East Wabash in Frankfort Friday, our sister station WLFI reports.
Deputies said the robbery happened around 4:30 Friday afternoon. It's the area's fourth armed bank robbery in just six weeks. Detectives said two men wearing masks and dark hooded clothing walked in, showed a compact silver handgun and ran off with an undisclosed amount of money.
Frankfort detectives said they are still investigating the case and have been in contact with Lafayette police to see if there are any connections to three recent armed bank robberies here.
The suspects are believed to be white, one man is described as about 5'6" to 5'8", the other about 6 foot tall. Both have a small to medium build.
If you see any money with pink dye stains, detectives ask that you contact your local law enforcement immediately.
