(BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY) - For one Bartholomew County Sheriffs deputy there was something familiar about a 1994 blue Cadillac he spotted early Wednesday morning.
Jim Scott, of WISHTV8 reports, it was the exact same car he was involved in a pursuit with just a couple of weeks earlier.
The deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop on the driver, but the driver took off again.
This pursuit began around 3:15 am at the 78 mile marker of I-65.
The driver was able to elude the officer once again but not for long.
About 45 minutes later the blue Cadillac was spotted in the 3900 block of North Indianapolis Road on the northwest side of Columbus.
The vehicle had been abandoned at the old Bulldog Lanes Bowling Alley.
A short time later the deputy located the driver on foot and took him into custody.
Michael Shane Walker was arrested on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, resisting law enforcement by fleeing, criminal recklessness with a vehicle, reckless driving and driving while suspended-prior.
