(MOORESVILLE) - Mooresville Police Department is looking for two people who robbed a CVS Pharmacy Halloween morning.
WISH TV8 reports, two armed people with masks robbed the CVS around 4 a.m., taking controlled substances.
The suspects pointed a gun at the cashier and escorted her to pharmacy. Once there, the second suspect ordered the pharmacist to open a safe full of controlled substances.
The two ran out a back door with the drugs in a matter of minutes.
"They knew where the drugs were. They hid themselves well," said Detective Chad Richhart. "I have no doubt they've done this before."
Currently Indiana is leading the state in CVS robberies. Recently CVS stores in Plainfield and in Greenfield were targeted.
It's unclear why thieves specifically target CVS stores in Indiana as opposed to other drug stores.
"That is a good question, we don't know," said Richhart.
The clerk and pharmacist walked away uninjured.
Detectives believe someone dropped off and picked up the suspects a distance away from the CVS
One of the suspects was wearing a ski mask, and the other had on a Halloween mask. Police believe the suspects are two white males about 5 feet 8 inches tall.
Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact police.
