(GREENWOOD) - Greenwood police are seeking the public’s help to ID a suspect in an armed robbery of a pharmacy.
Just before midnight Wednesday, police said, a man pulled a gun on a pharmacist at the Walgreens in the 1200 block of North Ind. 135 and demanded narcotics. After the pharmacist complied, the suspect ordered the pharmacist to lay face-down on the floor. The suspect then fled and was last seen running south from the store.
The suspect is described as a white male, mid-20s, about 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, with a goatee and last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue hoodie, a white baseball cap, gloves and multicolored shoes. His photo can be seen above from surveillance footage from the store.
He initially told the pharmacist he wanted to pick up a prescription for Tammy Maddox - who was not in the store's system as having a prescription on order. He stole Roxicodone, a narcotic pain reliever, and Xanax, an anti-anxiety medication.
Anyone with information should call Greenwood Police Department Investigations Division at 317-887-5619.
