(GREENWOOD) - A reward is now being offered for information in a robbery of a Greenwood pharmacy.
Anyone reporting information leading to an arrest in the case could get up to $1,000, donated by a company that analyzes pharmacy theft trends as a crime fighting and prevention initiative.
Purdue Pharma LP operates the website RxPATROL , which describes itself as a collaborative effort between industry, pharmacists and law enforcement. The company donates reward information through Crime Stoppers, according to the website.
The suspect sought in the Nov. 7 robbery is described as a white male, mid-20s, about 5-foot-10, 180 pounds, with a goatee and last seen wearing blue jeans, a blue hoodie, a white baseball cap, gloves and multicolored shoes. His photo can be seen above from surveillance footage from the store.
Greenwood Police Department said the man pulled a gun on a pharmacist at the Walgreens in the 1200 block of North Ind. 135 and demanded narcotics. After the pharmacist complied, the suspect ordered the pharmacist to lay face-down on the floor. The suspect then fled and was last seen running south from the store.
Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 262-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-222-TIPS. Tipsters can also send their information online at www.CrimeTips.org or text IndyCS and your tip to CRIMES (274637).
