(INDIANAPOLIS) - U.S. Attorney Joseph Hogsett announced Friday the sentencing of an Indianapolis woman who was charged for fraud.
Lowkeysha Lipscomb, 30, was sentenced to three years and five months on charges stemming from federal tax fraud and unemployment benefits fraud.
Lipscomb was ordered to pay restitution of more than $42,000 to the IRS and the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.
She and her brother, Lorenzo Lipscomb, had engaged in two different fraud schemes. Lorenzo Lipscomb had a previous sentence to eight years in prison for his part. He must reimburse the government more than $95,000.
