(KOKOMO) - The Home for Wounded Warriors Program presented a new home to the family of a critically injured soldier Saturday.
The program provides new custom-designed homes for members of the military who are wounded in action.
The new home was presented to the family of Specialist Anthony Walton.
Walton suffered a traumatic head injury during his deployment in Afghanistan
He is still receiving treatment at St. Vincent Hospital, but doctors expect him to make a slow and steady recovery.
The construction and furnishing of the home is the result of a coordinated community effort.
