Murdered Woman's Family Offers $5,000 Reward

Last updated on Sunday, December 23, 2012

(KOKOMO) - The family of a murdered Kokomo woman is offering a cash reward to anyone who can provide information leading to the discovery of her body.

A year and a half after the murder of Kelly Armstrong, her body has not been found.

Now her father, David Armstrong, is offering $5,000 for verifiable information about the location of her remains.

The Armstrong family have been openly critical of Kokomo Police and the Howard County Prosecutors office in their handling of the case, which has seen many twists and turns.

Kelly's boyfriend, Travis Funke has admitted to killing Kelly and throwing her body out with the trash in 2011.

Multiple searches have turned up nothing since then.

David Armstrong wants his daughter brought home and laid to rest. Armstrong says he has confidential informants giving him information, but none of it has lead to finding Kelly's body. He hopes the $5,000 will provide more incentive for anyone who may be afraid to talk to him.

Funke initially pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the case, but that plea was withdrawn. He is now charged with murder

That trial is scheduled to begin in January.

Anyone wishing to contact David Armstrong about the case can reach him by telephone: 574-398-8035.
