(SULLIVAN COUNTY) - News 10 learned that State Police detectives, along with the partnership of a local sheriff’s department, are investigating a death in Sullivan County Saturday morning.
Gina Glaros , of WTHI reports, Indiana State Police and Sullivan County Sheriff's Deputies are treating the case as a homicide.
We don't have a lot of details right now; however, Sullivan County Dispatch received a call at around 9:30 a.m. reporting a possible dead body found.
Authorities arrived on the scene and found a deceased elderly man in his 80s, whom sustained blunt force trauma to his head before his death.
Detectives noticed several items missing from the home during their initial investigation. They have not released what those items are.
An autopsy will be conducted on the victim's body Monday morning.
The case is still under investigation.
