(WARSAW) - A body has been found in the rubble of a fire at a northern Indiana lake home.
The Associated Press reports that the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department says that firefighters found the home on Little Chapman Lake engulfed in flames Wednesday morning. They found the body about four hours later.
The Journal Gazette reports the body was being taken to the Northeast Indiana Forensic Center in Fort Wayne for positive identification. The lake outside Warsaw is about 35 miles northwest of Fort Wayne.
The department says two people who rented part of the home fled to a nearby home that the fire spread to. The residents of the second home also escaped the flames.
It says firefighters were hampered by low temperatures and winds blowing across the lake.
