(TERRE HAUTE) - Business owners on East Wabash say drivers are having trouble remembering that the traffic signal at the Fruitridge Avenue crossing is gone.
WTHI reports that last July, city engineers began gradually phasing out the light that had hung at Fruitridge and Wabash for many years.
Despite the city's best effort to wean the public off that long standing signal, the owner and customers of Medusa's Salon worry the many drivers who still slow down, or even stop are going to cause accidents.
The city says the two red lights were never synced up, and that their unusually close proximity to one another was a safety hazard.
