(FRANKLIN) - A 19-year-old wrestled a shotgun away from his father during a domestic disturbance in Franklin Sunday night, the Daily Journal reports.
Police officials told the newspaper the teenager and his father, 48-year-old William Herald, got into a fight. The son found his dad with the weapon, wrestled it away from him and fired a warning shot out a window.
The 19-year-old told police his dad shoved his wife against a wall and punched her. She was taken to a local hospital to be checked for injuries. Two children were in the home during the altercations.
Herald was arrested on preliminary charges of battery, domestic battery, criminal recklessness, resisting an officer and intimidation.
