(LAFAYETTE) - Crews from the Lafayette Fire Department responded to an active fire at a Lafayette home on the city’s northeast side.
WLFI reports that the house, located at 1801 Pierce Street, reportedly caught fire shortly after 1 a.m. An anonymous party made the call.
When fire personnel arrived on scene, they discovered a portion of the home's second story was engulfed.
According to Lafayette police lieutenant Perry Amos, what appeared to be a "one pot" meth lab was found upstairs.
After an investigation by the Indiana State Police, they determined it was not a meth lab.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
No one was injured.
