(INDIANAPOLIS) - The man who says he stabbed his 2-year-old son to death will undergo a mental evaluation before moving forward with his trial.
According to court documents, Micah Harrison's hearing was canceled Monday and a mental evaluation was ordered.
As a result, Harrison's pre-trial and March 12 trial date have been canceled until further notice.
Harrison will attend a status conference on April 11, following his mental evaluation.
Harrison's 2-year-old son was found stabbed to death in January. Harrison was charged with murder and a not guilty plea was entered on his behalf. In a January court appearance Harrison said, "I have no rights. I killed my poor little baby. Please kill me."
