Officials Search For Three Suspects In Johnson County

(JOHNSON COUNTY) - The Johnson County Sheriff’s Department is asking residents to please use caution as officials search for three suspects.

Earlier Saturday, officials were searching the area of Buckmoor Parkway, SR 135, and Olive Branch Road for four, possibly armed suspects.

The suspects may have been involved in an attempted theft of a vehicle, our partners at the Daily Journal report.

Authorities say four suspects attempted to steal a vehicle, exited the car, and fired one shot at a victim, according to a police report.

A Johnson County Sheriff deputy located one suspect on the 1400 block of Heron Ridge and the vehicle on the 3100 block of Buckmoor Court.

That car was reported stolen out of Westfield.

The Johnson County Sheriff says 21-year-old Lemickol Thomas has been taken into custody. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail.

The sheriff's office is asking all residents to please use caution and not to leave vehicles running while unattended.
