(ANDERSON) - An Anderson man on death row admitted to murders he has been convicted of and shared the details with a British reporter earlier this year.
The Herald Bulletin reports Fredrick Michael Baer, 41, has been on death row in Michigan City State Prison for the past 8 years. He was convicted of the 2004 slaying of Lapel resident Cory Clark, 26, and her daughter Jenna, 4, in their home.
The confession and details were shared on video during an interview with reporter Trevor McDonald, who visited him in prison. Baer also admitted that he deserved the sentence.
He previously denied committing the crimes.
Baer is waiting for the appeal process on his death penalty conviction, a lengthy process. If the penalty is overturned, he will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison.
