(INDIANAPOLIS) - The two medics killed in a car crash last month in Indianapolis received a special recognition Monday night.
Private Tim McCormick and Specialist Cody Medley were honored with a special resolution from the City-County Council.
Indianapolis EMS Director Charles Miramonti, speaking on behalf of his department, said the resolution not only recognizes the sacrifice and effort of McCormick and Medley, but also that of the men and women currently working for I-EMS.
McCormick's mother Rosemary and Medley's mother Stacey Weldishofer personally thanked the council for honoring their sons.
Last week, both McCormick and Medley were posthumously award lifetime certifications by I-EMS. McCormick, who was an EMT, was also posthumously awarded his Indiana paramedic license.
