(UNDATED) - Spring is officially here, though it doesn’t feel like it with temperatures still hanging around the freezing mark.
Dave Tucek with the National Weather Service says the chilly temps will hang around for a while, but at least the sun is back out this week.
He also says Indiana experienced above normal precipitation through the winter, so much of the drought conditions the state experienced last year seems to have been alleviated during the course of these winter rains.
Tucek reminds everyone that the arrival of spring also means the chances of severe weather. Indiana's Severe Weather Awareness Week takes place March 24th through the 30th.
