(WASHINGTON, D.C.) - Many Indiana University fans are heading back home Friday.
Fans told 24-Hour News 8 that they were disappointed with the loss , and many are looking forward to next season.
Many say they were sad to see so many college basketball careers end last night, including IU fan Brian Davis, who traveled to Washington, D.C. for Thursday night's game against Syracuse.
"It's tough. For a No. 1-seed, you want the Hoosiers to play well but this is NCAA tournament. It's one of those nights where things just don't go our way I still they're deserving of a No. 1. They just ran across a good team," Davis said. "It was a tough loss and a tough pill to swallow, but I think Crean's got things going. I think we'll be back in this thing."
