(NEW CASTLE) - Authorities say an arrest has been made following the death of a New Castle Correctional Facility inmate in February.
Inmate Jeremiah K. Taylor, 37, was found unconscious at the bottom of a stairwell in the New Castle Correctional Facility on Feb. 14. He was flown to IU Health Methodist Hospital where he died from his injuries.
Taylor was serving an eight year sentence for a conviction on a child molestation charge out of Noble County, according to a release.
After the investigation was complete, the Henry County Prosecutor's Office issued a warrant for a Class A felony murder on an inmate who was formerly housed at the facility.
IDOC inmate Taylor J. Baughn, 21, was arrested. At the time of the incident he was serving a sentence out of Vanderburgh County for child molestation.
He was set to be released in August.
