Last updated on Thursday, March 28, 2013

(SOUTH BEND) - A hospital has upgraded to fair the medical condition of a passenger on a private jet that crashed into three homes near the South Bend Regional Airport

Memorial Hospital spokeswoman Maggie Scroope says the condition of Jim Rodgers was upgraded from serious Wednesday. She says Christopher Evans remains in fair condition.

The men were aboard a plane from Tulsa, Okla., that crashed on March 17, killing former University of Oklahoma quarterback Steve Davis and businessman Wes Caves.

National Transportation Safety Board spokesman Keith Holloway says a preliminary report on the plane crash might be released this week.
