(LAWRENCE) - Police officials say an arrest was made after an armed robbery in Lawrence Monday.
Around 2:30 p.m., Monday afternoon, police received two 911 calls reporting the robbery at the Dollar General on Pendleton Pike.
The callers told police the suspect fired one shot from a handgun into the ceiling before demanding money.
A witness told police the man forced them to lie down on the floor. However, several witnesses were able to get a good look at the suspect.
Only minutes later, police arrested 31-year-old Abraham Reyna when they saw him driving a U-Haul truck and wearing clothes that matched his description.
When police searched the U-Haul, they found gloves, a makeshift mask, cash register, and a plastic dollar general bag filled with cash.
