(INDIANAPOLIS) - A woman was arrested Sunday after allegedly crashing her vehicle into an Indiana State Police trooper’s vehicle and leaving the scene.
Alice Kocher, 25, of Louisville, Ky., was arrested for leaving the scene of a personal injury crash, a Class A misdemeanor; failure to provide financial responsibility, a Class A infraction; speeding, a Class C infraction; failure to yield to emergency vehicle/property damage, Class A infraction; and unsafe lane movement, a Class C infraction.
According to a release, around 5:25 p.m. Sunday, a trooper was at a two vehicle crash on Interstate 465 at the 50.5 mile marker when the vehicle was struck. The vehicle then fled the scene.
Officers located the vehicle on Interstate 65 at the 105 mile marker facing north after it had crashed for the second time.
Officials say Kocher fled police because she didn't have insurance on the vehicle.
She was arrested and taken to the Marion County Jail.
The trooper that was hit complained of neck and back pain after the crash but did not receive medical attention on the scene.
