(WEST LAFAYETTE) - Purdue University police are investigating three sexual assaults.
The university is asking for the public's help in identifying a person of interest, who could be the suspected assailant, described as a college-age male on a skateboard.
The male reportedly grabbed three women in a sexual manner -- one near the Purdue Memorial Union, one near the University Street Parking Garage and one east of the Union, the university said. All three incidents happened in broad daylight.
Purdue spokeswoman Jeanne Norberg says it the fact the suspect is on a skateboard makes it more serious because there's very little you can do to protect yourself from someone who's skating by like that.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Purdue Police Department at 765-494-8221 or its anonymous tipline at 765-496-3784.
