(INDIANAPOLIS) - While it was a busy night for slide offs and minor crashes, Indiana State Police had to investigate several crashes involving their own troopers.
Jim Scott of WISH TV8 reports three Indiana State Police cars were struck while investigating accidents early Wednesday morning.
The accidents occurred within minutes of each other at three separate locations between 1 and 1:30 AM.
One State Trooper was injured when a semi sideswiped his unmarked car while it was stopped to investigate an accident along northbound I-65 just north of Franklin in Johnson County
The Trooper who was inside his car when it was struck complained of head, neck and back pain. He was taken to Johnson County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.
Earlier State Police patrol cars were struck along southbound 465 near W 96th Street on the Northwest side of Indianapolis and on I-74 just east of Shelbyville.
In both of those accidents there were no injuries reported and only minor damage.
