(GREENWOOD) - A couple from Indianapolis were arrested Thursday for selling spice at a Greenwood Low Bobs Discount Tobacco store,713 Fry Road.

Sonal is being charged with two Class C felony counts of dealing synthetic marijuana. Yogesh is being charged with one Class C felony count of dealing synthetic marijuana.

A Greenwood Police Department press release says the arrests comes after a 6 month investigation by narcotics detectives. The investigation began in October after the department received multiple tips alleging that the spice was being openly sold at the store.

The release said undercover detectives made multiple spice purchases from the store. Both suspects told undercover officers that they knew what they were doing was illegal.

Both suspects are being held in the Johnson County Jail.
