(TERRE HAUTE) - Two people are facing charges Monday night after taking a child and leading police on a chase across two counties.
Chris Essex of WTHI reports that a little before 2 pm Monday, a custody dispute occurred on the east side of Terre Haute.
That led 40 year old Mary Stadler taking off with a child and heading towards Brazil.
After a chase that lasted about 30 minutes, police were able to stop the car and rescue the child.
They do not have reason to believe the child was in danger.
Stadler is facing felony fleeing and child endangerment charges.
Her passenger, 19 year old Jonathon Berry is facing charges of resisting arrest
