(INDIANAPOLIS) - A Whitestown man accused of videotaping himself sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl could face life in prison.
Daniel Alan Jines, 36, was charged in federal court Wednesday with 15 counts of producing child pornography, one count of receiving child pornography and one count of possessing child pornography.
Jines is accused of sexually abusing a girl over two years, beginning when she was 10 years old, and videotaping the girl engaging in sexually explicit acts.
Investigators said they found more than a dozen images and videos of the girl being abused by Jines, along with other child pornography files depicting the abuse of children, including toddler victims.
If convicted of producing child pornography, Jines faces life imprisonment. The receiving and possession counts also both carry a possible 20 years in federal prison.
