(CLAY CITY) - One person is dead after a house fire in Clay County.
Just after 11:30 p.m.. Friday night, crews responded to the fire on South County Road 225 East in Clay City, Indiana.
It was feared that the homeowner was inside at the time, WTHI reports.
While firefighters were trying to put out the blaze, the house began collapsing.
Around 8 a.m. Saturday morning, officials found a body inside the house.
That body has been taken in for identification and to have an autopsy performed.
A cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
