(INDIANAPOLIS) - A father from Connecticut was in Indianapolis Friday, delivering petitions to Indiana’s U.S. Senators in support of new and tighter gun laws.
Neil Heslin's 6-year old son Jesse was shot and killed at Sandy Hook Elementary School in December along with 19 other children and six staff members.
The petitions were collected by the group Mayors Against Illegal Guns, and were delivered to Senators Dan Coats and Joe Donnelly.
The petitions will also be presented to lawmakers in Washington, D.C. next week.
