(TERRE HAUTE) - A fire caused an evacuation at a major retailer in Terre Haute earlier Sunday.
WTHI reports that fire officials say the fire started in a jewelry cabinet at the Walmart on US Highway 41 South.
They're saying electrical issues led to the blaze.
The store had to close as crews put out the fire and cleaned up the mess.
"The first arriving engine got on scene. There was a small working fire inside the jewelry counter. They got it cut open got the fire out; got the scene stabilized," said Shift Battalion Chief Jason Rader of the Honey Creek Fire Department. " Right now, they're just trying to get everything mopped up so we can get people back inside."
One person had to be treated on the scene due to smoke inhalation.
